The latest from CHANCE Recruitment
By Jack Howell and Dylan Spink, Directors of CHANCE Recruitment
From our perspective, one of the biggest factors in keeping a project on track is having the right people in place at the right time....

The skills gap remains a key challenge across Scotland’s energy, renewables, infrastructure, and construction sectors. As projects grow in scale and complexity, and experienced professionals become harder to secure, businesses are focusing more on long-term workforce solutions. Apprenticeships are an important part of that, but they are most effective as part of a wider strategy.

Project timelines are playing an increasingly important role in how recruitment decisions are being made across the energy, renewables, and construction sectors.

Directors and Co-Founders, Dylan Spink and Jack Howell, explain why they set up CHANCE Recruitment, who they help and why, and their future ambitions for the company.

Dylan and Jack, founders of Scotland’s specialist industrial recruitment partner, CHANCE Recruitment, talk about their experience in the industry.

In December 2022, OFGEM published its decision to implement the Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (‘ASTI’), including an estimated £20bn of funding to support the large strategic onshore transmission projects necessary to deliver the Government’s 2030 ambitions.

For season ‘25-‘26, CHANCE Recruitment backed Joe Cuthbert, St Duthus, as player sponsor in their North Caledonian League campaign. Joe had joined St Duthus for season ’24-’25 from Highland League side Strathspey Thistle.
