Painter Decorator

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Painter & Decorator to work on bespoke new build properties, delivering exceptional finishes to the highest standard. This role involves working on premium residential projects, where attention to detail and craftsmanship are essential. Experience with taping and machine taping is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating, including sanding, filling, priming, and sealing | Apply a variety of finishes (emulsion, gloss, satin, specialist coatings) to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and exteriors | Carry out taping and jointing (including machine taping where applicable) to achieve seamless finishes | Ensure all work meets high-end, client-ready standards, especially for bespoke and luxury builds | Read and interpret plans, specifications, and design requirements | Maintain clean and safe working environments at all times | Identify and resolve surface imperfections before final finishes | Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines on new build projects | Liaise with site managers and other trades to ensure smooth project progression

Experience

Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator, ideally within new build or high-spec residential projects | Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and finishing methods | Experience with taping and jointing (machine taping is an advantage) | Ability to produce high-quality, flawless finish
